Matt is a lifelong resident of the St. John’s metro area and lives in Conception Bay South with his family. He brings more than 20 years of business experience to real estate, including owning businesses in the gas and convenience and quick-service restaurant industries. His experience has included negotiating commercial leases and agreements, evaluating property and investment opportunities, managing major capital projects and being directly involved in developing a commercial property from the ground up, from planning and construction through leasing and long-term property management.
That background has given Matt a practical understanding of negotiation, property value, financial decision-making and the many moving parts involved in a successful real estate transaction. Real estate was a natural next step, combining his longstanding interest and experience in property with the opportunity to help people navigate some of their most important financial decisions.
Matt takes a straightforward, hands-on approach with his clients and believes in being accessible, communicating clearly and providing thoughtful, honest advice throughout the process.
For buyers, that means helping identify the right property, understand its value and make informed, competitive decisions. The goal is to avoid overpaying while still being ready to act when the right opportunity comes along.
For sellers, Matt believes a successful sale starts with understanding the market and properly positioning the property. Whether selling a family home, investment property or commercial property, his focus is on developing a strategy that protects the seller’s interests, presents the property effectively and works toward achieving the strongest possible result the market will support.
Outside of real estate, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, taking on renovation and construction projects around the house, working with his hands and enjoying the outdoors.
